感谢大家抽空出席 “马中文化艺术协会成立及第一届理事宣誓就职仪式”和全场五百多人一起见证这个为马中两国文化艺术交流掀开序幕的历史性过程。我们希望一年、两年、数十年、甚至百年后，当我们或我们的后人回顾今天这一幕时，大家依旧能够感受到全体会员带着崇敬的心理，准备全力以赴为文化艺术工作努力的热诚与使命。因为，真正能使到今天这项成立仪式成为历史性的不是今天的这项仪式，而是未来我们所能交出的成绩！
时下人们追求物质名利甚于一切，我们的物质生活越来越好，生活品质却越来越低；我们的科技日新月异，人文素养却越见沉沦；我们花钱研发产品，却很少投资于文化艺术创作，以致国内文化艺术工作者在艺术与面包之间挣扎求存，平白浪费了我国得天独厚，丰富多元的文化艺术空间，这种情况如果不改变，2020年，当我们号称先进国的时候，我们的人文艺术领域将是苍白失血的，我们的社会将是失衡的。有鉴于此，马中文化艺术协会成立的终极目标是营造一个人民懂得珍惜、欣赏，而文化艺术工作者可全情投入把文化艺术工作当成事业而无生计之忧的社会。
我们将扮演（一）我国各族文化艺术团体与个人；（二）民间文化艺术团体与个人和国家新闻、通讯文化部及（三）我国民间各族文化艺术团体与个人和中国文化艺术团体与个人间的三大桥梁角色。
我们的行动策略是（一）通过汇合与促进国内各族文化艺术交流，开创融合各文化精粹的马来西亚特有文化艺术；（二）在和政府部门建立密切联系与合作关系下，争取政府的认同与支持，在官民共识的基础上，善用政府资源为文化艺术发展提供养分；（三）向各大企业引荐我国高素质文化艺术，鼓励发挥企业社会责任，支助文化艺术事业的发展；（四）跨出本国，迈向世界从走进中国开始。
各位，名为马中文化艺术协会，并选定中国为我国文化艺术交流的首选国家是因为两国坚固的亲善友好关系和中国博大精深的文化艺术成就是我们参考与借鉴的对象， 而我们更希望通过双方频密的交流能为双方的文化艺术工作开创更宽广的表演与实践空间，有了空间就有了舞台，也就有了成就辉煌的机会与条件。物质精神得以平衡，马来西亚才得以成为精神文明与物质享受平衡，名副其实的先进国。
感谢拿督何国忠副高教部长的出席与指导，各位贵宾的出席，并呼吁有兴趣和我们一起完成上述使命者加入我们成为会员。希望今晚这项由我国著名敲击乐团手集团和中国八大锤的精彩演出为大家留下一个马中文艺辉映的难忘夜晚。
最后以一句：“拓宽文化内涵广角 ，凿开艺术创作泉源，马中辉映，文化不老，艺术不朽”和大家共勉。祝观赏愉快。
Thank you for taking the time to attend the “Inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremony of Malaysia-China Cultural and Arts Association” and together with an audience of five hundred in witnessing this historic moment to the prelude of the cultural and artistic exchanges between Malaysia and China. We hope that in one or two years, decades, even centuries, when we or our descendants look back at this scene now, we can still carry a sense of reverence for all the members, ready to go all out, dedicating our efforts to culture and arts. To make today's establishment and inaugural ceremony into a historic event shall depend on the results we can produce in the future!
Nowadays people are pursuing materialistic gains and fame more than anything else, our materialistic lifestyle is getting better and better, but our quality of life are becoming lower and lower; our technology is ever advancing, but humanistic literacy is deteriorating; we spend money on researching and developing products, but very little investment is given to cultural arts, it is to the point that our domestic cultural artists are struggling for survival, a sheer waste of our unique, rich and diverse culture and arts, if this situation does not change, come 2020, when we are called an advanced country, our areas of humanities and arts will be pale and bleeding to death, our society will be unbalanced. In view of this, the ultimate goal for the establishment of the Malaysia-China Cultural & Arts Association is to create a society where people know how to cherish and appreciate cultural arts, and cultural artists can wholeheartedly make this field their career without having to worry about survival.
We will play a bridging role for (1) Malaysia's culture & arts groups and individuals of all ethnic groups; (2) non-governmental culture & arts groups and individuals and the Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture; (3) Malaysia's culture & arts groups and individuals of all ethnic groups and China's culture & arts groups and individuals..
Our strategies are: (1) Through convergence and promotion of cultural and artistic exchanges among all ethnic groups, and create a fusion of the essence of each unique Malaysian culture and arts; (2) To build a close relationship and cooperation with various government departments, to gain the government's recognition and support, on the basis of consensus of the government and the people, make good use of government resources for the development of arts and culture; (3) To recommend to major corporations our country's high-quality arts and culture, to encourage corporate to support the development of culture and arts as their social responsibility; (4) To venture overseas, starting with China.
Ladies and gentlemen, this organization is named Malaysia-China Cultural & Arts Association, and we selected China as the first choice for cultural and artistic exchanges because of the strong relations between our two countries and the profound cultural and artistic achievements of China as our object of reference, and we hope that our frequent exchanges can bring about a broader act and practical space for two sides, with space there will be a stage, and will also have a brilliant opportunity and success conditions. Strike a balance between materialism and spirituality, then Malaysia will be able to become a spiritual civilization and material balance, a veritable advanced country.
I would like to express my gratitude towards Deputy Minister of Higher Education, YB. Dato’ Dr. Hou Kok Chung for his presence and guidance, and the presence of our distinguished guests, and I would like to call out to those who are interested in completing our mission to join us a member. I hope that tonight's brilliant performance by Malaysia's Hands Percussion Team and The Eight Mallets Percussion from China will leave a memorable evening in everyone's hearts.
